James Woods, one of Hollywood's few openly conservative actors, took to Twitter to sideswipe Sen. Bernie Sanders, the self-declared socialist, over the presidential candidate's favorable mention of China's paid maternity leave.
Sanders posted on his own Twitter account: "China -- not exactly seen as a model when it comes to human rights -- provides 14 weeks of paid maternity leave. The US provides zero."

As LifeNews.com pointed out right beneath the senator's tweet: "@SenSanders Oh give us a break! As China forces pregnant women to have 7-month abortions under its one-child policy."

And Woods wasn't far behind in responding, with a series of scathing Twitter messages posted over a period of several hours.

He wrote, of Sanders: "China has notoriously killed female infants for population control, you utter moron," the Hill found.
And a few hours later, he posted this: "Basically Bernie is this commie scarecrow put up to make Hillary look palatable by comparison, right? There is no other rational possible."
Another: "'People kill baby girls just like housework'. Here is your child welfare role model, Senator Sanders."
Another: "200 Million Girls Killed in China, Senator Sanders. Still think their maternity policies are better than ours?"

And one more, Woods wrote: "To laud China's maternity leave program in the shadow of 200 million infant deaths is 'How did you like the play, Mrs. Lincoln' territory."
Others took to Twitter to join Woods in bashing Sanders.

Woods, 68, has been an outspoken critic of Democratic Party politics, slamming President Obama at one point as a "true abomination," the Hill reported.
Woods endorsed Carly Fiorina last month, and helped narrate a CARLY for America super-PAC documentary of her life.
