The cat and mouse game being played by Joe Biden and his political team is beginning to get old, both with the media and the Democratic voters who don't know if he is "in or out" as a presidential candidate.
Before last week's Democratic debate where Hillary Clinton was crowned the winner by the entire media (even Fox News), Biden was a sure bet to get into the race by this past weekend. Not so fast. Before the candidates had even left the debate hall, the Democratic Party breathed a collective sigh of relief that Hillary had redeemed herself as a viable candidate; and with one viral "sound bite" Bernie Sanders shut down any more discussion about her "damn" emails that all but handed her the nomination. The talking heads were already formulating the opinion that Joe Biden didn't need to jump into the race anymore, he could make the decision not to run and all would be on track for her coronation.
Adding to that, Barack Obama's interview on "60 Minutes" seemed to indicate that he was closing the door on the subject of Clinton's emails as well. Obama – who knows full well that the FBI is in the midst of investigating criminal wrongdoing involving her having her own private unsecured server, passing around classified information and deleting thousands of emails at her discretion, not the governments – seemed to offer a replay of what we have heard time and again from him when it comes to these government scandals. Remember that before any major investigation had even started Obama claimed that there was "not a smidgen of corruption" in the IRS targeting scandal. He brushed off the fact that Lois Lerner had deleted or "lost" her emails and anything else that could have nailed her, and then he had nothing to say when she decided not to talk about anything when she exercised her Fifth Amendment privilege on the day of her testimony.

So the question is: What is really behind this on-again-off-again decision for Joe Biden to run? First of all, we know that as vice president he is privy to much of the same information Obama is getting from the FBI regarding Hillary's email situation. He knows how deeply in trouble she might be and how likely the FBI will recommend charges be brought against her. They both know the depth of this problem, and it is obvious that word has gone out to deflect it at all costs.
But why? Why not just let the FBI do its investigation instead of trying to derail it at every turn? Obviously, the FBI was furious with Obama undercutting them on "60 Minutes" by saying, "This is not a situation in which America's national security was endangered." How would he know that when the FBI investigators have not even reached any conclusions about whether or not the information on the server had been compromised or if indeed her set-up had put the nation's secrets at risk? What does he know that they don't? Perhaps he and Biden both know that if the FBI does come to the conclusion that she broke numerous laws and compromised our security, Biden will have to jump in and rescue the Democrats.

This past weekend speculation surfaced once again that Joe would run, and it has only intensified since then. It appears that Joe is a puppet on a string being operated by Barack Obama, and if Obama feels he should get in, he will. If not, then Joe will retire as a statesman.

So, what is the Obama administration really afraid of, and why all of this bobbing and weaving back and forth? Could it be that they know what is really on that server and that some of those deleted emails lead back to the White House on the Benghazi issue? Could it be that the fear of what could be found be motivating them to brush off this scandal, stating that it is over before it has even been fully investigated? Why do they not want all of the information found and analyzed? Why did even Bernie Sanders undercut his own campaign at the debates by stating that "we are tired of hearing about your damn emails"? Are they afraid that if this investigation goes too far it just might bring the whole administration down? Who knows?
Why are none of the Democratic candidates going after Hillary Clinton on anything? She is a target right out in the open, and they are avoiding hitting her on the email, her foundation or any number of things. Why is that? I think the word was out – "hands off Clinton." No one else running has any chance of winning anyway, so why not make her look good and keep her happy? They kept Biden out because he would have run rings around her, but never fear, they will put him in if they need to.
One thing is certain. They know more than we think they do, and there is fear in the ranks. Barack Obama does not like the Clintons, but he cannot allow the Democrats to lose the 2016 election. They must win at all cost because that is the only way to keep these scandals under control. Congressional committees can only do so much in suggesting that someone be indicted; the Justice Department backed by the president has to give the ok to move forward. That will never happen with Democrats in control. No matter how many laws Hillary broke or how much she compromised our national security, nothing will be done to her as long as there is the possibility that a smoking gun implicating the White House stays hidden somewhere.
They have to win, and that is why Joe Biden is still standing in the wings waiting for his cue to go on. Will he get it? If he does, you can bet that the FBI found damning evidence in those "damn" emails.
