(TELEGRAPH) — An old soldier is being forced off the road after being handed a whopping £20,000 car insurance quote (about $30,000).
Ron Jones, 98, will not be able to sell poppies as usual this year after being "priced off the road" after his insurance renewal rocketed from just £3,000.
Mr. Jones, who has been driving for 69 years, said he is being targeted by insurers because of his age - despite having no accidents since his last renewal.

The widower said: "I got my first car in March 1946 and have been driving ever since. Before I was 65 I was paying between £200 to £300.
"It seems the quote is based purely on my age as I am physically and mentally capable of driving.
