German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier says France has Berlin's "full support in the fight against (Islamic State) and the protection of citizens against Islamist terrorism."

Speaking during a trip to Mozambique on Thursday, Steinmeier said, according to a transcript provided by the Foreign Ministry, he knew that "words of solidarity are important, but not enough."
