(News.com.au) The 17-year-old has been dazzling US audiences each week on Dancing with the Stars where she and partner Derek Hough are one of the favourites to win the show.
However TMZ reports that because Bindi is just 17 she needs to have a form signed by her parents stating that they give up all rights to money she will earn by being on the show.
Her mum, Terri Irwin, has signed these forms, TMZ reports, but an LA Superior Court judge said without proof that her Crocodile Hunter father, Steve Irwin, is happy to give up his rights as well "the court is unable to find that it is in the best interest of the minor to be bound by the terms of the contract."
