An Israeli man almost died when a Sudanese Muslim decided to join the Mile High Islamic Rage Club.
An Ethiopian Airlines flight from Chad to Ethiopia last Thursday turned into a fight to survive for 54-year-old Arik Zanuda. Ethiopia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the attack on Tuesday, YNET reported.

"About 20 minutes before the plane started its descent the passenger sitting behind me identified me as Israeli and Jewish. He came up behind my seat and started to choke me with a lot of force. At first I couldn't get my voice out and call for help," Zanuda told the newspaper Tuesday. "He hit me over the head with a metal tray and shouted 'Allahu Akbar' and 'I will slaughter the Jew.'"
Zanuda somehow managed to get the attention of a flight attendant before losing consciousness. A Lebanese man and other passengers then managed to pull off the attacker.

"After we landed the Lebanese guy told me that I'd been saved twice, because after they'd overpowered my attacker he said to everyone, 'Let's finish him off,'" Zanuda said.

Authorities took passenger Ahmed Mohamed into custody upon the plane's landing. He is scheduled to appear in an Ethiopian court today.
"The Israeli passenger was taken to a medical clinic in the airport and released shortly after. He was able to continue on to Tel Aviv as planned. We are sorry for the incident and will do everything we can in order to prevent further such attacks on our Israeli customers," Ethiopian Airlines said in a statement.
