Rand Paul, whose poll numbers for president haven't been as stellar as those in the libertarian camp might like, offered up a blunt reminder of his White House competitor, Marco Rubio, saying to voters via Breitbart News: Let's not forget the senator from Florida joined with Democrats to push amnesty.
"Rubio [in 2013] teamed up with the Hillary Clinton wing on immigration, teamed up with [Sen.] Chuck Schumer on immigration," during a recent one-on-one with Breitbart. "I think it's been a little bit forgotten in some of the debate, but yeah, he was a part of the 'Gang of Eight.'"

The Gang of Eight was the dubbed group of senators from both sides of the political aisle who huddled to come up with immigration reform. And part of their solution included amnesty for millions, as well as a doubling of the allowable number of temporary foreign workers who could be admitted to the country. Rubio shied from calling the plan amnesty and instead, claimed it was simply a way to "modernize our immigration system," as he said in one opinion piece for Fox News.
