Mr. Newcombe, [regarding Is Cruz like Goldwater, or Reagan?"] may I remind you that regardless of how much Ted Cruz's views may resonate with voters (me included), this man was born in Canada to a Cuban father and an American mother. He is not a natural born citizen of the United States and therefore not eligible to serve as either president or vice president.
Moreover, both Sen. Cruz and his supporters, as well as all commentators I've read or heard, are missing a major point: Mr. Cruz would do our country a much greater service and build a more vibrant legacy for himself as majority leader of the U.S. Senate than he would as president. If he truly cared about and understood our Constitution as deeply as he claims, he would stay in the Senate and strive to recruit more like-minded patriots to that once-august body.
Most of the problems and scandals facing us today exist only because both houses of Congress have abandoned their constitutionally mandated duty to check and balance the improper – indeed, in the current situation, treasonous – actions of the executive branch. Instead, both the House and the Senate, controlled by so-called Republicans, have at best rolled over and played dead at the feet of a tyrannical despot, who himself is not eligible to serve as president. At worst, the legislative branch has been and continues to be fully complicit in the downfall of our country.

I for one am backing Donald Trump for president – that is unless we can draft Franklin Graham.
