How could Barack Obama possibly do more to help ISIS and radical jihadists around the world than he already has?
If you asked me that question a few weeks ago, I would be stumped.
But then he appointed a new ISIS czar.

And whom did he select?
Did he pick a retired general who has studied ISIS tactics and strategy?

Did he go for someone who has some achievement in his history – military or otherwise?
Did he name someone whose loyalty to the U.S. and its values could never be questioned?

Did he choose someone who had good relations with our closest ally in the Middle East – Israel?
No, he didn't do any of those things.
Of course, he didn't. It would be out of character for Obama to do that.
What he did instead was to select Rob Malley, a radical leftist foreign policy adviser he previously fired from his 2008 campaign for meeting with the terrorist group Hamas, a vicious critic of Israel, a long-time apologist for Yasser Arafat with whom his family had deep ties, a sympathizer with Palestinian terrorism, a man whose father is active in the Communist Party in Egypt and a person who blamed the failure of Bill Clinton's effort at peace talks between Ehud Barak and Arafat on Israel.
So how do you think this appointment will work out?

Malley, by the way, is assigned not to defeat ISIS. He's charged with supporting "our reinvigorated diplomatic track toward a political transition in Syria," according to White House spokesmouth Josh Earnest.
If you haven't heard about this outrage, it's with intent.
The White House made the announcement very low-key – hoping the media wouldn't devote too much coverage to it.
It was made by Earnest in a press briefing delivered at a Paris hotel during the recent climate summit.

"The president recently elevated Rob Malley, the NSC [National Security Council] coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, to serve now as the senior adviser to the president for the Counter-ISIL Campaign in Iraq and Syria."
It was bad enough Obama brought Malley back as senior director of the NSC after firing him from his campaign. It turns out Obama knew all along Malley was meeting with Hamas for months. Obama just didn't want heat for it during his first presidential campaign.
Over the years Malley has written newspaper columns urging the U.S. to negotiate with terrorist enemies like Hamas, Hezbollah and Muqtada al-Sadr. Oddly, in 2007, he called for support of for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the leader Obama wanted to bomb a few months ago, the man Malley is now charged with displacing and the Middle East leader most threatened by ISIS.
What's Malley's track record of diplomacy like?
One day after his election, Obama dispatched him to the Middle East to "improve ties with Egypt and Syria."
Obama engineered the fall of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt, leading to the brutal rise of the Muslim Brotherhood there until a military coup restored order. Now Syria is falling apart, causing grief for the entire world.
With such amazing achievements in his past, is it any wonder Obama tapped Malley to handle ISIS?
Want more good news?
Not only is Malley Obama's pick for dealing with ISIS, he's also expected to be advising on relations with Iran. Malley is on record as saying that if Iran develops a nuclear weapon, the U.S. would be able to deal with it as it did with the Soviets – by pursuing a policy of containment.
Just when I think I can no longer be shocked by anything else Obama does, he shows me, once again, that true evil is sometimes hard to predict.
