(The Hill) Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump holds a 20-point lead in the South Carolina GOP primary, according to a poll released Wednesday.
The Fox News poll found that Trump leads in the early-voting state with 35 percent support, followed by retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 15 percent, and Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) at 14 percent each.
The rest of the GOP field polled in the single digits. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush sits in fifth place with 5 percent, and the remainder of the candidates register with 2 percent or less.
