Donald Trump, the leading Republican candidate in the primary for president, hit back hard at Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton for her characterization of him as a propaganda recruiting tool for ISIS, telling a national television audience the former secretary of state is little more than a liar.
On "Meet the Press" with Chuck Todd, Trump said: "She lies like crazy about everything. She's a liar, and everybody knows that."

His comment came on the heels of Clinton's slam of Trump during a recent campaign stop. Over the weekend, Clinton said: "[Trump] is becoming ISIS' best recruiter. They are going to people, showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists."

Fact-checkers weren't able to find evidence to support Clinton's claim, however, prompting one of the Democrat's aides to address the issue in a later interview.
John Podesta, who chairs Clinton's campaign, said, NBC News reported: "I think that if you look at what is going on in the Middle East, the fact that Mr. Trump is on television over there all the time, that fact that ISIS is using him as a recruitment tool, I think it is a very fair charge."

Trump's charge against Clinton came the same day another Democratic Party presidential hopeful, Sen. Bernie Sanders, took to national television to hurl the same accusation at the billionaire.
During an interview on "This Week" on ABC, Sanders said of Trump: "I tell you, it's rather extraordinary. I think, and I say this straightforwardly, I think you have a pathological liar there. I think much of what he says are lies or gross distortion of reality."
Sanders referred to Trump's previous statements about Muslims celebrating in New Jersey over the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks on American soil.
"Nobody has seen a tape celebrating the destruction of the Twin Towers in New Jersey," Sanders said, Mediaite reported. "It doesn't exist, and he keeps claiming it. That's called pathologically lying."
