Why are liberal Democrats more interested in covering up for terrorists than protecting the American public?
Case in point. Hours after 30-year-old black Muslim Edward Archer ambushed and gunned down Philadelphia police officer Jesse Hartnett with a stolen 9mm Glock, he confessed to investigators that he had acted “in the name of Islam,” police revealed during a press conference. Then, in a shocking and blatant attempt to cover up for the Muslim terrorist, newly elected Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, a Democrat, told a whopper of a lie. He said on national TV:
“In no way, shape or form does anyone in this room believe that Islam or the teaching of Islam has anything to do with what you’ve seen on the screen. … It has nothing to do with being a Muslim or following the Islamic faith.”
In other words, just like in the Wizard of Oz, the mayor is telling us to “pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!” Where’s Toto when you need him?!
Following the mayor’s outrageous remarks, a reporter asked what reason the suspect gave for shooting the officer. Homicide Capt. James Clark replied that the shooter told detectives, “I follow Allah. I pledge my allegiance to the Islamic State, and that’s why I did what I did.”
There you have it. Despite these facts, Mayor Jim Kenney tried to intentionally mislead the American people by denying the suspect’s stated motive. The mayor reportedly pandered to Muslims during the election, promising to fight against racial profiling and “Islamophobia.” No wonder he’s covering up for this terrorist!
Mayor Kenny, like others in the Democratic Party, is working overtime to mislead the American people about the evil nature of Islam. Here’s what Hillary Clinton said just days after the Islamic terrorist attacks in Paris that killed 129 people and injured 350 others:
“Let’s be clear: Islam is not our adversary. Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.”
It’s clear Hillary is not our friend.
People know politicians lie, but liberal Democrats have made lying a dangerous sport. And there’s no bigger liar than Barack Obama.
Obama recently announced executive action on guns and held a CNN townhall moderated by Anderson Cooper where he demonized gun owners and the NRA. But, according to numerous academic studies and the federal government, criminals do not use legal markets to purchase guns; therefore, any sort of “universal” background check wouldn’t affect them. Obama knows this, but he’s more interested in neutralizing God-fearing American citizens than criminals.
The reality is that guns save lives. If Philadelphia police officer Jesse Hartnett didn’t have a gun, he might be dead today.
According to Gun Owners of America, law-abiding citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year. The overwhelming majority only brandish their gun or fire a warning shot to scare off their attacker.
Obama and his administration cannot be trusted on guns. And they have a history of lying to the American people about the existing threat from Islamic terrorists. Here are some examples:
- After a Muslim couple inspired by ISIS shot and killed 14 people and injured 22 in San Bernardino last month, Obama refused to describe the attackers as Islamic.
- Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lied (and continue to lie) about the Benghazi attacks. They blamed the attacks by Islamic militants upon the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya on a stupid video. The terrorist attacks killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty, and injured 10 others.
- Beginning in 2009, while pushing his Obamacare plan, Obama repeatedly promised the American people, “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it.” He lied, and millions of Americans lost their health insurance.
- On Nov. 5, 2009, Nidal Hasan, a U.S. Army major and psychiatrist, fatally shot 13 people and injured more than 30 others at Fort Hood. The Obama Defense Department falsely classified the shootings as an act of “workplace violence.” After years of public pressure, this classification was changed in 2015.
- Obama wants to enable Iran to get nuclear weapons. He has released some 653 suspected Islamic terrorists from Gitmo allowing them to join other Islamic militants in combat.
So when this lawless president tries to make laws using executive action and says he wants to make Americans “safer,” why would anyone believe him?
Obama is lying about Islam, just like the mayor of Philadelphia lied. We can’t trust the president, most members of Congress and the big-city liberal mayors to protect us. This is no longer about incompetence. Obama and his cohorts are deliberately covering up the truth about Islam. They cannot be trusted!
So what’s the solution to this madness?
The American people need to unite and realize that our government is putting our lives at risk. We need to vote in the right people who will put Americans first ahead of politics or personal gain. We pay them to protect us, not to enable and cover up for the enemy.
