(THE HILL) GOP presidential hopeful Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) may have gotten more than he bargained for after donning a pair of stylish, high-heeled black leather boots on the campaign trail.
Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) stopped by co-host Whoopi Goldberg's dressing room ahead of an appearance Wednesday on "The View," where he offered a tongue-in-cheek remark for Rubio, who stands at 5 feet, 10 inches.
"We've seen Rubio has those cute new boots, and I don't want to be outdone," Paul, who stands at 5 feet, 8 inches, said in a video posted to Twitter, showing him picking out a pair of boots. "Eat your heart out @marcorubio!" the tweet added.
