(New Jersey Advance) Ted Cruz poked the bear.
During the Republican debate Thursday night, front-runner Donald Trump and Cruz, who since has moved into second place in most polls, had a few sharp exchanges.
The fallout from the big one -- Cruz's attack on "New York values" -- dominated the campaign chatter yesterday and is still bubbling. Said Cruz: "Everyone understands that the values in New York City are socially liberal or pro-abortion or pro-gay marriage–focus around money and the media."

Trump's response: "Very insulting." He then launched into a passionate defense of New York, including the city's response to 9/11.
