Justice Antonin Scalia belongs to the ages, as we all must in good time. The justice is being lionized, then the tear-down of the man will come. All his failings as a fellow human being will be revealed, true or false matters naught. Antonin was first-generation American, his people being Sicilian.
The justice's funeral services reminded me of my roots. Having been an altar boy 60 years ago at St. Patrick's in Watervliet, New York, I experienced many of the rituals I witnessed on TV. Make no doubt about it, the Catholic Church of my youth was a paramilitary organization where you learned more than there was God.
What I witness watching the justice's funeral was the best America has to offer, not necessarily Catholic, but the goodness and spirituality. Discipline is good also. Compare the justice's funeral to what graces the White House today and the low-brow people who have access to the highest offices of the land.

I am no snob. I do know the difference between good and evil. The Obama administration is the most current manifestation of the moral decline of America. The Bush administration set the foundation of the house President Obama lives. The worst among us eat at his table, our table, the table of America. President Reagan, the messiah of the right, was chastised for being a divorced man seeking the office of president. Yes America, Reagan the Great Communicator started the process that is sending America into the gutter.
Justice Scalia was a "great man" full of himself. One has to be vain and ambitious to fill a high office, not necessarily bad qualities. The vast majority of men and women in elected and appointed positions have "pride without honor." That is how you get such jobs, being that way. The pride without honor is destroying America.

I did not know Justice Scalia. I do believe he was a man of honor, so his pride served a good purpose.
