Brussels — the death knell of the globalist ideology

By Curtis Ellis

UNITED NATIONS – The butchery of Islamist terror cells has exposed the failure of the globalist European Union. It’s only fitting the massacre occurred in Brussels, the capital city of the European superstate founded on the free flow of people, goods and capital across borders.

But Washington elites remain in thrall to this globalist ideology even as people around the world watch the results in horror.

None of what we witnessed in Paris and Brussels happened by accident, and none of it was undertaken for humanitarian reasons.

Frau Merkel invited a million Middle Eastern migrants to her country to provide cheap labor to German industry.

Her utilitarian agenda was dressed in the language of altruism and multicultural tolerance by the deep thinkers at the United Nations. Then the globalist sycophants in charge of the European Union tried to force it upon its nominally sovereign member states.

That’s when the high-minded-sounding ideals ran into the brick wall of reality.

The spectacle of an army of young Muslim men marching from once-Christian nations of the Levant into the heart of Europe was too much to bear, even before the bloodbath of Paris and the New Year’s Eve rape-fest in Cologne.

Poland announced it would only accept Christian refugees. Hungary erected razor wire along its borders.

Two decades after the Iron Curtain fell, Europe’s borders from Belgium to the Balkans are being reinforced.

The people of Europe do not want to surrender the unique national and cultural characteristics that have defined them since antiquity.

Barack Obama would lecture them about clinging bitterly to religion and traditions.

Viktor Orban, Hungary’s prime minister, described the situation in his speech commemorating his country’s independence from the Austrian Empire.

“The peoples of Europe, who have been slumbering in abundance and prosperity, have understood that the principles of life that Europe has been built on are in mortal danger. Europe is the community of Christian, free, and independent nations; equality of men and women; fair competition and solidarity; pride and humility; justice and mercy,” Orban declared.

The danger now is not war, he said, but mass migration. “It is masquerading as a humanitarian cause, but its true nature is the occupation of territory. … If we want to halt this mass migration, first we must curb Brussels.”

He warns the “hidden, faceless world powers will eliminate everything that is unique, autonomous, age-old and national. They will blend cultures, religions and populations, until our many-faceted and proud Europe will finally become bloodless and docile.” His speech is worth reading in its entirety.

Even as the peoples of Europe and America reject the globalists’ program, a transnational elite with headquarters in Washington, the City of London and Wall Street doggedly pursues its agenda.

Their top item is enacting the Trans-Pacific Partnership, TPP. This globe-straddling international regulatory agreement is designed to promote the free flow of people goods and money in a borderless world. That’s exactly how the Japanese prime minister described it as Obama stood next to him in the Rose Garden.

TPP boosters dishonestly sell it as a trade agreement, but it is actually something else entirely.

The TPP is the framework for a superstate like the European Union that will grow in size and power. It creates a transnational bureaucracy capable of spawning regulations our government would bend to just as our states must conform to rules set in Washington and the parliaments of Europe bow to Brussels.

TPP would forbid us from curbing the flow of people across our borders. It specifically bars the U.S. from limiting who and how many people can enter our country to work, as the agreement numbingly describes it, “in a particular service sector.”

For example, Mexico or the Muslim nations of Malaysia or Brunei, the latter ruled by Shariah law, could send their people to the U.S. to “provide services” in any number of fields from construction to health care – and the U.S Congress would be powerless to stop them.

And don’t fall for the blithe assurances from House Speaker Paul Ryan and others who say the TPP does not affect our immigration laws. In Washington doublespeak, these foreign workers don’t count as immigrants. Like those holding H1B and H2B visas, they are considered temporary “non-immigrants.”

Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell both know the TPP is pure political poison. That’s why they are conniving to push it through Congress in the dying days of the Obama administration after the November elections are over.

Hungary’s prime minister warned that the danger to Europe comes from the fanatical internationalism of the EU. So too the fanatical internationalism of the Washington elite threatens America.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership, aka Obamatrade, is how the permanent governing class continues plans to advance its program of obliterating American national sovereignty and cultural identity.
