You article about the shooting of Officer Jacobs was so slanted, I almost ripped over reading it! Jacobs' department most likely has the same regulations as most departments – not politically correct, as you condescendingly say, but by law. You only pull you weapon if you feel you or others are in actual jeopardy. You shoot when your life or the lives of others are in jeopardy. NOT because the right-wing media says you can kill whomever you want, as long as it isn't a white guy!
I was a D.C. Metropolitan police officer for eight years and sergeant for two years, so I am not someone who enjoys reading about murdered officers. I went to too many funerals of colleagues and friends. So stop trying to blame the left or political correctness when an officer is killed in the line of duty. Thank you.
