The Islamic State group is accused of new atrocities involving a giant number of would-be sex slaves and its own injured recruits.
Iraqi officials went before the United Nations in February and claimed ISIS sells terror victims’ organs on the black market for cash. The revenue problem now appears so dire that ISIS allegedly harvests the organs of its own recruits.
“Doctors were threatened to take out the body organs of a wounded ISIL militant,” a source in Iraq’s second-largest city of Mosul told the al-Sabah newspaper, the Times of India reported Thursday. The individual spoke on condition of anonymity.
The news comes in conjunction with reports that females in Mosul were executed for refusing to become sex slaves.
“At least 250 girls have so far been executed by the [ISIS] for refusing to accept the practice of sexual jihad, and sometimes the families of the girls were also executed for rejecting to submit to [the] request,” Kurdish Democratic Party spokesman Said Mamuzini told the AhlulBayt news agency, the Hindu reported Thursday.
Iraqi forces are currently attempting to recapture control of Mosul, which fell to ISIS in June 2014. U.S. military personnel and coalition allies have been supplying advisers, Apache attack helicopters, and other resources to aid them in their mission.
Last month ISIS terrorists in Yemen captured headlines by slaughtering four nuns and 12 employees at a charity started by Mother Teresa of Calcutta. The Quilliam Foundation, a London-based think tank, also released a report that detailed an ISIS practice that involved encouraging children to play with human heads like soccer balls to desensitize them to violence.
“The filming of such events is an attempt to promote the idea that the general public support executions. Children have been seen to eagerly seek a front row seat, demonstrating that they are not shy to watch such killings in public,” the report read, WND reported March 8. “Additionally, children in [ISIS] regularly witness stonings, crucifixions and beheadings. Children not only get desensitized to violence, but they also deem these practices as normal, and eventually defend them. Children have been seen accompanying prisoners to their death and, in one example, distributing knives to adults before a mass beheading.”
President Obama said earlier in the week that coalition allies will “eventually” oust ISIS from Mosul.
“My expectation is that by the end of the year, we will have created the conditions whereby Mosul will eventually fall,” Obama told CBS News April 19, Reuters reported.
