Day after day, I see America disappearing before my eyes. Our principles, values and ideals are slowly but surely disintegrating in the hands of the progressive left and our politically correct society.
I wanted to write about this because I have just seen a new film, "Confirmation," from HBO about the Anita Hill hearings and testimony in regard to then-U.S. Supreme Court justice nominee Clarence Thomas. Now, believe me, I knew even before watching it that there was a 99.9 percent probability that the film would be biased and slanted against a conservative, Republican African-American, but I was amazed at how skewed it was toward all of the "right."
I remember quite distinctly watching the hearings in 1991. I saw it firsthand, and the people and situations were not accurately portrayed in this film. The producers and writers took "artistic license" to make their film more entertaining and explosive. They didn't need to; the actual hearings were entertaining and explosive when they took place in 1991. But what I saw and what HBO showed was a biased, revisionist version of historical events. That was its intention. That is pretty much always Hollywood's intention if it wants to change history to fit its agenda.

On the "Today Show," Anita Hill herself focused on the fact that the hearings were 25 years ago, and many don't know about or remember them.
"It's important for us I think to relive the story and continue to learn the lessons from it," Hill told Today's Savannah Guthrie in an exclusive interview that aired Monday – almost a week before HBO is set to air "Confirmation." "That's why the film is important and having a younger audience – 25 years is a long time. An entire generation has grown up and has never really witnessed this event."

Bingo. An entire generation has no idea what the truth really is, and so by watching this film they will be educated to the "truth" – the leftist, progressive, Hollywood truth. Many of the actual players in the hearings at the time have condemned this film and are appalled that their characters were twisted and portrayed as villains.
This is what we are facing today, not only in Hollywood, but in our schools and universities. In a recent interview, Callista Gingrich, who is writing children's books about American history, said this: "Unfortunately, today many of our schools are failing to teach our history, including our founding principles and values and instead teach revisionist and politically correct history. As a result, they are really missing out on the basics of what it means to be an American."

She explained, with the pushing through of Common Core, history is becoming more and more twisted, and our children will have no idea of the real truth.
Look around you, and you will see not only an assault on our religious freedoms as a Judeo/Christian nation, but the aggressive implementation of the idea that Islam should be viewed as the primary religion for the United States to focus on. In Florida, a school board is reviewing a state-approved world history textbook used in an advanced placement class speaking about Islam is loving terms while barely recognizing Christianity and Judaism. The textbook is called "World History," published by Pearson's Prentice Hall, and it contains a 36-page chapter praising "Muslim Civilizations." It also includes discussions on the rise and growth of Islam and the Muslim empire. There are zero chapters discussing Christianity and Judaism. The book never once mentions the murderous acts of Muhammad and his armies. Instead, it portrays Christians and Jews as murderous barbarians who, thankfully, were defeated by the "good" Muslims. This textbook is already in use in your schools.
The left has succeeded in rewriting the history of the American Civil War. In fact, it doesn't want to just rewrite it, it wants to erase it. The Confederate flag must go, the war memorials honoring Confederate soldiers must go, everything about the South and slavery must be sanitized so future generations won't even know it existed. It reminds me in a way about the attitude of former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad when he denied that the Holocaust ever took place. He was proud of the fact that he was a Holocaust denier. To this day, many in Iran believe his words as truth.
It only takes one or two generations of our children being fed lies before we lose who we are as a country. If you have a discussion with young people aged 10 up to 30, the majority of them have been indoctrinated to believe that global warming is a scientific fact and that the United States has waged war and invaded other countries, killed millions of innocent people and is basically a racist, homophobic place where no one has a fair chance in life. They believe capitalism is evil, the borders should be open and welcoming to any and all, no matter what, and socialism (if they even know what it is) seems to be what they want in their future. Thus, the rise of Bernie Sanders.
They never speak of American exceptionalism or of the incredible things that America has done for countries around the world. Not one word about the billions of dollars spent to feed the hungry and the thousands of Americans who give up their time to tend the sick and dying in ravaged countries. Nothing about the "evil 1 percent" who take millions of their own dollars to build schools, libraries, hospitals and give scholarships to kids who can't afford an education, and no mention of the brave young men and women (in their age group) who put their lives on the line in the military to keep them safe.

That message and that history are not taught today. Instead, the young generation has been spoon-fed the notion that they should apologize for all of the "wrongs" that America has done instead of the mountains of good that is the true history of this country.
