If there is anything liberals and progressives hate more than freedom of speech, it is difficult to say what that might be. The right of free human beings to express opinions with which progressives disagree directly threatens their fragile ideology. Worse to the progressives is what dissent represents: resistance to their soul-crushing, cradle-to-grave rule over the thoughts, words and deeds of all those whom they seek to subjugate.
Progressives are the ultimate fascists, who through a variety of thought controls and Orwellian social schema seek to stamp out every behavior, every utterance and every concept that does not toe their totalitarian line. Thus, progressives have brought us speech codes, "social justice," "microaggressions," "cultural appropriation," "the patriarchy," the imaginary wage gap and a variety of other bludgeons with which they beat into silence anyone who disagrees with them. The goal of progressives is always to shut you up. If they have to block a highway, commit mob violence, threaten and plot your deaths and pass laws criminalizing what you believe, they will do so.
The Internet is what gives progressives power. Someone who walks up to you and demands that you "check your privilege," or who tells you that you are a bad person because you were born white, is risking getting the taste slapped out of his mouth for his insolence. This is why so many social justice whiners and progressive activists prefer to attack from the safety of mobs. Separated from their victims by distance and anonymity, even lone social justice lunatics feel free to harass, "shame" and otherwise pester those who dare to disagree with them. Occasionally, one of these nuts will forget that the Internet is the only thing standing between him and a thorough beating. He will then attack in person, screaming his outrage the entire time, to predictable results. Those results are the string of YouTube videos that have gone viral over the past several months, depicting unhinged social justice wimps physically attacking those they hate – and getting punched, knocked down and even pepper-sprayed for their trouble.

The fact is that if not for the powerful influence of the Internet in our lives, there would be no social justice losers. That's because their movement would end in violence, in blood-soaked sidewalks, when they tried to carry their message solely in person to the throngs of people who, quite honestly, are sick and tired of the perpetual outrage machine that powers their noisome antics. This is what happened not long ago in California, when Black Lives Matter activists attacked a bunch of Klan members holding a rally. The Black Lives Matter thugs got stabbed for their trouble – and, quite honestly, this is a pattern of behavior that is going to repeat itself if social justice whiners keep forgetting themselves and attacking their victims.
After all, who is training with weapons? Who is most familiar with the use of force? Who spends time at classes devoted to teaching individuals how to fight, how to neutralize aggression? Which group spent last weekend at a seminar devoted to "knife fighting" or "close quarters combat with firearms"? Was it liberals and progressives, who always seem so eager to go straight to mob violence and intimidation when they hear an opinion or even see a hairstyle they don't like? Or is it the conservatives, the libertarians, even the fringe groups (such as, in this most recent example, those racist morons from the Klan) that take the time to learn how to mete out effective and even lethal force?
To date, the only groups also training in force and carrying weapons are, to my knowledge, the Islamist terrorists and the Black Panthers – but I'll put my money on any group of armed, equipped American suburbanites who subscribe to sites like Modern Combat and Survival over America-hating racists and terror groups any day – and for good reason. Some of your fellow Americans take very seriously the threat of violence against them for believing what they believe and for being who they are – and the only thing stopping them from carving a bloody swath through social-justice fascists is that these same citizens are law-abiding exemplars of American civility. They're people who respect the ideals on which this country was built, including free speech for all. It's a shame the America haters don't share those ideals.
The latest salvo in this ongoing war to silence dissent is a database devoted to harassing anyone guilty of what the progressives consider wrongthink. A group of feminists and social justice whiners tried to start a crowdfunding campaign to build an intelligence network for fighting "cyber-bullying." The idea was to compile records on the identities of anyone uttering a word with which feminists and SJW activists disagreed – in order to facilitate "shaming," "doxxing" (the revealing of someone's personal information online) and other mob harassment against those the database deemed its enemies. Fortunately, Kickstarter has suspended the campaign – but the idea remains. The social justice whiners want to identify their enemies so they can track them down, harass them and marginalize them.

The problem with this concept is the same problem progressives encounter when they leave the safety of the Internet and start trying to attack people in the real world. Block a highway, threaten motorists with mob violence, and somebody might just decide to grind you under his SUV's wheels. Attack a street preacher or somebody holding an anti-abortion sign, and that person just might put you on the sidewalk hard enough to crack your skull open. Attack a group of scumbags holding a rally protected by the First Amendment, and you might just get four inches of sharpened steel in your intestines. Put violent hands on a patriotic American who knows his rights and who happens to disagree with you, and you just might learn firsthand what "shooting from retention" means.
That's what happens when SJWs take their attacks from the Internet to the real world. They end up getting a whole lot more "free speech" than they bargained for. That's not a threat; it's a sobering reality.
