Corpse of baby goat born with human-like appearance in Malaysia
When Malaysian farmer Ibrahim Basir's business partner informed him he needed to check on his herd of goats last Friday, Ibrahim got the surprise of his life.
One of the females had given birth and the newborn kid was dead, possibly trampled by its mother. Disappointing, but that was not the surprise.

It was the baby goat's face ... and legs ... and body. There was something eerily human about its appearance.
"When I went to check, I was quite shocked but fascinated too as its face, nose, short legs and even the condition of its soft body seemed like a human baby, but the light brown fur covering its whole body resembles that of a goat," Ibrahim, 63, told Straits Times.

Despite its human features, the kid did not have an umbilical cord.

Ibrahim received offers to purchase the strange carcass but turned them down, instead surrendering the dead animal to veterinary officials.
"We kept the kid's carcass in a polystyrene box filled with ice cubes before taking it to the district veterinary office at around noon yesterday," he said Monday.
The unusual offspring has sparked potentially scandalous speculation about who the father is.
Ismail Mohamed, chairman of the Johor state Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Committee told reporters an investigation is currently underway to determine why the goat has human-like features and whether the mother goat was violated by a human.
"For now we cannot confirm or deny anything as we have never received such a case before," Ismail said.

"We will have to wait for the results and findings to be finalized, and that takes somewhere between two weeks and a month."
In the meantime, Ismail is advising the public not to speculate on the reasons behind the goat's human-like appearance.
