(MSNBC) The primary is nearly a month away, but Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s campaign will be on the airwaves in Oregon Wednesday. It’s a significant move for the cash-strapped campaign, but a sign that it is taking advantage of an agreement with rival Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on an effort to keep Trump from winning the Republican nomination outright.
Kasich agreed to halt spending resources in Indiana, while Cruz, in turn, will not spend money or time in Oregon and New Mexico.
“Ted Cruz pulled out of Oregon,” the narrator in the ad says, “And John Kasich is the only one that can stop Trump and defeat Hillary Clinton.”
