I could be wrong about Trump, but at least he is a natural born citizen who is eligible to be president if elected. Ted Cruz is not eligible to be president, but his loyalties may be to the USA.
I suspect that there are likely to be many Cruz supporters who are willing to ignore the eligibility issue so as to place a solid conservative in the White House. What if they are wrong about Ted Cruz being a solid conservative?
I think the most conservative act by voters is to honor the Rule of Law first, and then select a candidate who happens to be eligible.
