(Conservative Review) -- RNC Chairman Reince Priebus is in a tough spot, and it’s certainly not entirely his fault. The poor guy can’t win for losing.
If he speaks out in defense of the credibility of the GOP delegate process, as well as the increasing likelihood of a contested convention in July, he’s criticized for inserting himself into the process. Yet if he doesn’t speak out in defense of those things, he’s criticized for not showing leadership.
Such is your plight when you’re the face of a party leadership team best known for disappointing and deceiving its base — including long before Priebus appeared on the national scene. No matter which path you choose, you can count on your true motives being called into question by the very people you’re supposed to be serving.
