Longtime family expert and advocate Tony Perkins of the influential Family Research Council says there is a solution to the radically leftist ideas coming out of the Obama administration as the president opens all stops in trying to establish his legacy.
Impeachment.

The suggestion came on Friday after the Obama administration issued a rule mandating open bathrooms in schools across the country to satisfy demands from transgenders.
Perkins released a statement on his organization's website condemning the idea.

"Once again the Obama administration is going beyond the limits of their constitutional authority to rewrite laws legally adopted by Congress. Under the guise of 'protecting students from discrimination,' these federal agencies are using the bully pulpit to strip parents and local school districts of the right to provide a safe learning environment for their children," he said.
"Parents should demand that school boards not sacrifice the safety of the children out of fear of losing federal funding, which on average only amounts to about nine cents of every educational dollar. It is also time for the Republican leadership in Congress to act and rein in this administration. Bottom line, the president's decree should be resisted with every legal and moral instrument we have available to us in this country," he said.

"If the American people do not speak up now on an issue like this, there's no limit to what President Obama's administration, or future liberal presidents, will be emboldened to do."
In an interview with Fox News' Todd Starnes, Perkins elaborated.
"If the president chooses to go forward with this outrageous order – then Congress should begin impeachment proceedings," he said.
Starnes called the Obama administration's move a "cultural bombshell."

"School districts that dare defy the administration's directives could face lawsuits and lose millions of dollars in federal funding. Resistance, in other words, is futile," he wrote.
"I warned you in my book, 'God Less America' that the fight over trangenderism would be the next battleground. And here we are – a nation where boys who identify as girls have more rights than girls who were born biological girls."

Added Starnes, "The German theologian Deitrich Bonhoeffer warned us about a time such as this. Not to speak is to speak, he once said. Not to act is to act.
"Far too long American pulpits have remained silent on controversial cultural issues. Preachers don't want to rock the boat. Parishioners don't want to cause trouble. Far too long society has turned a blind eye as President Obama fundamentally transformed our nation.

"But now the country stands at the edge of a great moral abyss. And we must ask ourselves – do we defy the president and save the nation or do we keep the peace and sacrifice our children?"
Officials at the Justice and Education departments released a letter providing "guidance" as to how school districts should comply with the policy. The letter also made it clear that states or schools that did not fall in line could face federal lawsuits or a denial of federal education funds.
"Under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, schools receiving federal money may not discriminate based on a student’s sex, including a student’s transgender status. The guidance makes clear that both federal agencies treat a student’s gender identity as the student’s sex for purposes of enforcing Title IX," stated the latter.
The Obama administration argument is based on the concept that back in 1964, when Congress wrote the Civil Rights Act, members recognized the need for men to use women's restrooms, locker rooms and shower rooms, and vice versa.

Liberty Counsel's Mat Staver said Obama's goal is to scrub God from America.
"The reason they want to abolish gender is because they also want to remove any kind of moral construct regarding human sexuality," Staver explained. "Ultimately they want to abolish gender so they can abolish the very notion of the creator God himself, who created you and I in His image. Male and female, God created you and I, distinctly different yet complementary."
