Michelle Fields
Michelle Fields, of ex-Breitbart reporter fame – who became an American household name in part because of her widely reported assault accusations against Corey Lewandowski, manager for the Republican Party's Donald Trump – has landed a new gig and will now cover campaign news, on Trump's trail, no less, for the Huffington Post.
She's due to start Monday, the Hill reported.

"After the tumultuous events of the last few months, I am ready to get back to writing and reporting on what is without question the most bizarrely fascinating presidential race of my lifetime, (and perhaps, any lifetime)," she said in a statement.

Fields, as WND previously reported, went so far in her claims against Lewandowski that she filed a criminal complaint with Florida police. She claimed, in reference to a Trump rally she covered for Breitbart: "Someone had grabbed me tightly by the arm and yanked me down. I almost fell to the ground but was able to maintain my balance. Nonetheless, I was shaken." And that "someone" was later identified as Lewandowski, based on the finger-pointing of a nearby Washington Post reporter.
Video and investigation later revealed Fields' claims were wildly exaggerated, however. Trump campaign spokesperson Hope Hicks called her account "entirely false," and the criminal complaint against Lewandowski was eventually dismissed when the Palm Beach County state attorney declined to prosecute.

Nonetheless, Fields, during the ordeal, made several high-profile television appearances, including one on Fox News with Megyn Kelly, to double down on her claims.
She said, of her new position: "[I'm] beyond excited to join one of the biggest names in political journalism."
And Ryan Grim, the Washington bureau chief for the Huffington Post, called Fields "one of the most widely read chroniclers of the conservative movement," CNN reported.
Fields has written for the Daily Caller and PJ Media, as well as Breitbart.
