Citing the likes of Red State’s Dan McLaughlin and Ben Howe, Fox News frequent guest Meghan McCain, GOP strategist Rick Wilson and Republican Sen. Dean Heller, MSNBC’s left-leaning Rachel Maddow turned the words of Donald Trump’s own party faithfuls against him, via a recitation of anti-Trump quotes on national television in the fashion of a poetic diatribe with a bongo-banging background.

The ‘Stop Hillary’ campaign is on fire! Join the surging response to this theme: ‘Clinton for prosecution, not president’

Maddow opened with the dramatic pronouncement: “From Republicans and conservatives who are aghast about this outcome from the Republican primary, we have seen a remarkably articulate and visceral wave of disavowal and dissent and disgust … I would like to honor their concerns, the only way I know how – by expressing them.”

She then walked from her desk to a stand-up microphone and held up a pile of papers, saying: “Real quotes from real Republicans, since Donald Trump was nominated.”

A sunglasses-wearing bongo player beat softly in the background, as she read: “Just canceled my plane and hotel reservations for Cleveland,” Maddow said, as text identifying the source of the quote, “Rick Wilson, Republican strategist,” flashed on the screen.

“I’m drinking wine directly out of the bottle right now,” Maddow went on, a line attributed to Ben Howe, Red State contributor.

And another: “I’m heartbroken, I’m petrified for the future of this country I love so much,” while text attributing the words to Meghan McCain, Sen. John McCain’s daughter, flashed on the screen.

And another, apparently from Dan McLaughlin, the #baseballcrank: “For the first time since turning 18 I will not vote for the Republican candidate for president.”

As WND reported, dozens of noted Republicans have come out in the hours since Trump pretty much clinched the GOP nomination for the White House to announce they were standing fast in their opposition to the billionaire businessman and would not support or endorse his candidacy.
