To Obama, transgender lives matter more than black ones

By Jesse Lee Peterson

Barack Obama and Loretta Lynch value transgender lives more than they value black lives. That’s become clear.

The U.S. Justice Department and Department of Education, based on a decree from Obama, released a joint letter online to school systems around the nation, threatening them to let transgenders use the bathroom they “identify” with, or face the wrath of the federal government.

Attorney General Loretta Lynch has blasted North Carolina’s HB2 law and accused backers of endorsing “state-sponsored discrimination” against transgendered people. “This is about the dignity and the respect that we accord our fellow citizens,” she said. Lynch also equated the passing of HB2 with states enacting Jim Crow laws to stop civil-rights progress. She pointed out that just a few decades ago, black people were also barred from using certain bathrooms.

What about the “dignity and respect” of black Americans and the civil rights pioneers who fought for real equality, Mrs. Lynch?

Obama and Loretta Lynch are part of the liberal Democrat elite, and their attempt to equate “transgender rights” to the civil rights struggle of black Americans is evil. It proves that they place little value on blacks as human beings. They don’t understand the depth or significance of the civil rights movement. And they have no respect for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other black and white activists who fought against true discrimination.

Obama and Lynch have a wicked anti-American globalist agenda that has nothing to do with uplifting blacks. This is why they degrade one of our noblest movements for social change by equating it to a warped cause.

Most blacks don’t consider the transgender bathroom matter a civil rights issue, let alone a priority. They have more pressing issues like finding jobs and keeping their kids away from drugs and gangs.

I grew up on a plantation in Alabama under Jim Crow laws; I recall when we had “colored only” bathrooms and drinking fountains. They integrated my high school the year I graduated. I participated in the civil rights movement, and it’s personally offensive to hear Loretta Lynch compare transgenders to black people. People didn’t hang from trees or bleed in the streets to have their sacrifice disgraced in this manner.

Rosa Parks didn’t go to jail for trying to use the men’s bathroom. Martin Luther King Jr. and others who marched with him didn’t get fire hosed and have dogs turned loose on them because of their sexual identity. It’s demeaning to blacks and it diminishes the work of Dr. King and other civil rights forerunners.

Instead of using the legacy of the civil rights movement to encourage unity, Loretta Lynch would rather trash the movement. Shame on her!

Liberal elitists are using blacks and the positive memory of the civil rights movement to change America into a godless nation. When they have an immoral and wicked agenda to push, they always attach it to the movement and put a black face on it. And since the traditional black family has been wiped out by decades of welfare, drugs and immoral behavior, there are no real men left to stand against this evil.

If Obama and Lynch cared about black lives, they’d put energy and resources into rebuilding black families instead of focusing on phony “transgender rights.”

Lynch should be demanding that Mayor Rahm Emanuel be held accountable for the city’s escalating black murder rate and for the cover-up in the death of Laquan McDonald. Why aren’t Obama’s Department of Justice and Department of Education threatening to withhold federal funds from the state of Illinois? Because black lives really don’t matter to these people. Their agenda is to serve the Democratic Party elite who hate black people.

North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory and the governors of Mississippi and Texas have slammed Obama’s edict and are directing their schools not to follow the administration’s unlawful order regarding transgender bathrooms. “Congress must intercede to stop this massive executive branch overreach, which clearly oversteps constitutional authority,” McCrory said in a statement.

I agree with these governors. Congress must act to stop Obama. This is an attack on states’ rights and on Southern Christian and American values. Just ask yourself: Why is Obama doing this now? What’s the purpose, and what’s the rush?

Congress must also act to stop the bloodshed in Chicago and hold the state responsible for its out-of-control bloodshed. As Bill O’Reilly recently pointed out, if this level of carnage were being inflicted against whites, it wouldn’t be tolerated.

I want all black Americans to know that Obama and Loretta Lynch don’t value or respect you.

Black lives don’t matter to them, and deep down I believe you know that. They don’t appreciate the contributions of your ancestors, who paved the way for blacks to have equal opportunity under the law. They demean and devalue the civil-rights movement –your movement. This is truly what Obama means by “fundamental transformation.”

Black Americans: You are the foot soldiers in Obama’s relentless war on America. But soldiers are not morally compelled to obey unlawful orders.
