My wife, Gena, and my hearts broke with the rest of the nation over the Orlando terror massacre a week ago. But what further broke our hearts was to watch progressives like Hillary Clinton defend Islam at the cost of further trampling the LGBT community.
First, on the surface, it sounded like Hillary and her comrades on the left were defending those who were massacred this last week in Orlando.
She wrote in a fundraising letter: "In the wake of the deadliest mass shooting in United States history, the GOP nominee for president didn't pledge to stand with the LGBT community, didn't make a distinction between Muslims and jihadists … "

But the truth is just the opposite: Trump is actually defending the LGBT community via his advocacy to fight jihadists, and Hillary is abandoning them. Let me explain.
What Hillary and others on the left are not telling you is that moderate Islam might be much more anti-gay than all of them are alluding.

Case in point: Fahad Qureshi, who is considered an Islamic leader in Norway and speaks at Islamic conferences, admitted that the desire to see homosexuals killed was a belief held by so-called "moderate" Muslims. He said "every Muslim" wants "the death penalty for homosexuals."
According to CNSNews.com, Fahad explained to an audience of Sunni Muslims at a Nov. 7, 2013, conference: "Every Muslim believes in these things. Just because they are not telling you about it, or just because they are not out there in the media, doesn't mean that they don't believe in them."

Fahad explained that these things are clear in the sacred writings of Islam.
For the majority of Muslims who adhere to the hadith, sayings attributed to the Prophet Muhammad and his companions, homosexuality is condemned and is to be punished.
Abu Dawud's authoritative hadith collection records the following report from Abdullah ibn Abbas: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If you find anyone doing as Lot's people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done" (38:4447).
The Quran (Surah 4:15-16) even mandates unspecified punishment for those guilty of sexual lewdness together unless they repent.

Christopher van der Krogt, a lecturer in history at Massey University, recently wrote: "The 17th-century Muslim scholar Haskafi explicitly included "a male" in his list of those whom a man could not legally marry. Marriage was understood in hierarchical terms, but although a man could have sexual relations with female slaves, he did not have the same rights over male slaves."
No wonder 10 Muslim countries in and outside the Middle East officially condemn homosexuality and say it can be punishable by death, including stoning. They include Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Mauritania, Nigeria, Qatar, Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Somalia and Sudan, according to the Washington Post.
Is it a coincidence that the Muslim Youth League also recently called for massacre at a gay rights parade in Istanbul, Turkey?
The Hurriyet Daily News reported, "One day after a group called the Anatolia Muslim Youth Association (MAG) called for an 'intervention' against the 'immoral' LGBT Pride March to be held on June 26 in Istanbul's Taksim, the Alperen Hearths, an ultranationalist youth organization linked to the nationalist Great Union Party (BBP), threatened on June 14 to 'take all risks necessary to stop the march.'"

This is why U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., warned Democrats: Don't pander to the Muslim community for votes, because "if it had its way, [too many] would kill every homosexual in the United States of America."
Now listen again closely to Hillary's words: "In the wake of the deadliest mass shooting in United States history, the GOP nominee for president didn't pledge to stand with the LGBT community, didn't make a distinction between Muslims and jihadists …"
Yet, she is allegedly standing with the LGBT community by allowing the largest influx of Muslims into America since the founding of our country? Consider that the Obama and Hillary administration is on track for one-million green cards to migrants from majority-Muslim countries, which believe what about homosexuality? And among those million, how many are or could be radicalized in the future like the vicious murderer in Orlando?
And what are we to make when Jihad Watch recently reported that: "51% of U.S. Muslims want Shariah and 60% of young Muslims are more loyal to Islam than to the U.S"? Is that supposed to make the LGBT community feel safer?
Moreover, remember, the latest data from the Pew Research Center reports that "even before 2040, Muslims are projected to become the second-largest religious group in the U.S., after Christians."
Hillary says she can say "radical Islam," but then she abandons any notion of it when she hits the road and actually implements her true beliefs and actions. Her rhetoric about terrorism and Islam is actually a ruse based upon ignorance. And no wonder – she doesn't really get it. She never has.
When Hillary addressed the members of the American Muslim Council at the first-ever White House celebration of Eid al-Fitr (a Muslim religious holiday), she summarized her Islamic education: "I have to admit that a good deal of what my husband and I have learned (about Islam) has come from my daughter. (As) some of you who are our friends know, she (Chelsea) took a course last year in Islamic history."
You might not agree with Donald Trump's temporary ban on Muslim refugees coming into America until we properly figure out how to vet them all, but at least he's standing against jihadists and, in so doing, standing up for the LGBT community and not increasing the risks for more Orlando massacres on U.S. soil.
America isn't ready for President Hillary Clinton. It should never be.
