(New York Daily News) -- With breathtaking disingenuousness, President Obama portrayed his administration’s directive on transgender access to high school bathrooms as essentially an exercise in Christian charity that was not of his making.
“Somehow people think I made it an issue,” Obama said at on a PBS town hall broadcast Wednesday night. “I didn’t make it an issue.”
Further casting himself as simply a President across whose desk the transgender issue happened to pass, Obama repeated, “I am not the one who is making a big issue of it,” adding far too flippantly:

“I just want to emphasize to you, though, it is not like I woke up one day and said, ‘Man, what we really need to do is start working on high school bathrooms.’”
