LGBT clubs are soft targets for terror

By Joseph Farah

Barack Obama’s got it all wrong about the slaughter in Orlando.

The problem wasn’t too many guns in the “gay” nightclub. The problem was there were too few – all monopolized by Omar Mateen – an ISIS-loving, America-hating and, evidently, homosexual-hating mass murderer.

If there were patrons at the club who were allowed to carry guns for self-defense, without question the carnage would have been greatly reduced.

That’s reality.

It’s also reality that Islamic terrorists have figured out that “gay” nightclubs are soft targets – meaning they don’t expect any armed resistance. They think of them as human slaughterhouses.

I can think of at least three previous armed Islamic terror attacks on “gay” nightclubs – two in Tel Aviv, one in Seattle – and now Orlando.

How many do we need to see before we realize the potential for the kind of tragedy we witnessed Sunday?

Florida is not a “gun-free state.” My strong advice to the LGBT community is to add another “G” to their identity – for GUNS.

I’m serious. I’m not joking. I’m not making light of the worst single-gunman attack in American history. I am speaking common sense here.

Even one very determined and highly trained gunman cannot shoot 100 people in a club if others are packing heat.

How often do we have to state the obvious?

“Gun-free zones,” whether mandated by government or created voluntarily by an anti-gun mentality, are the most dangerous places on earth.

“Gays” have demonstrated their effectiveness at defending their “rights” to do with their bodies as they please. Now it’s time for “gays” to defend their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Managers of bars and nightclubs catering to “gays” should exercise some social responsibility and provide more protection for their clientele.

If there’s as much “homophobia” as we keep hearing about in America, why don’t “gays” and “gay” establishments take security into consideration?

While Omar Mateen may have been a genuine “gay”-hater, he was, of course, much more than that. He was an Islamic terrorist. Guess what all four of the “gay” nightclub attacks have in common? They were all attacked by Islamic terrorists.

Yes, guns were used in all four, too.

But only by bad guys.

Would you be prepared to defend yourself and other innocents in a surprise attack? Find out what one courageous churchgoer did to protect others in the film and book “Shooting Back: The Right and Duty of Self-Defense”

I would strongly urge the “gay” community to think about this – and act on it.

In fact, just as I did after 9/11, I would advise all Americans to think about self-defense.

We’re living in crazy times. We’re facing a determined and dangerous enemy who hates us.

There inevitably will be more attacks like Orlando.

Already we have seen too many. But they won’t stop and the carnage will only grow unless Americans, including “gays,” arm themselves.

Guns in the hands of responsible people seeking to defend themselves and others are a good thing any time.

But in these times, they are becoming a necessity.

We’ve all been warned – at least four times. There’s no excuse for another slaughter like this – not in a “gay” nightclub, not in a church, not in a school, not in any self-created or government-mandated “gun-free zone.”

Enough is enough.

Never again.

This isn’t rocket science.

It’s a self-evident truth.

It’s time to stop the next slaughter.

Yet, Barack Obama blames, at least in part, the easy availability of guns for what happened in Orlando.

I hate to say it, but someone needs to say it: Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and all those advocating tougher restrictions on carrying firearms for self-protection and the defense of innocent lives share responsibility for mass-casualty tragedies like Orlando.
