(Conservative Review) -- Democrats are threatening to kill a 200-page piece of legislation aimed at combating the recent spike in opioid abuse around the country. They are upset, as Democrats always are, that the bill doesn’t spend enough money. They’re demanding close to a billion dollars in funding to incentivize state opioid treatment facilities before they will vote for the bill, unable to see that the solution to every problem is not simply to fling taxpayer dollars at it.
Here are five reasons why spending a billion dollars on opioid treatment won’t do anything to solve the opioid crisis.
1. You can’t help someone who doesn’t want help.
