Cokie Roberts of television news fame told an ABC "This Week" audience the main reason Hillary Clinton is struggling in certain polls against Donald Trump is because she's a woman.
Her claim comes as Trump, the presumptive Republican Party presidential pick, has given the former secretary of State a real run for her money on issues dealing with honesty and leadership.

And in context of discussing why Sen. Elizabeth Warren wouldn't make a good vice presidential selection for Clinton, Roberts said this: "I think Elizabeth Warren is the real problem. Not only does [Clinton] not heed her in terms of the Democrats – Hillary Clinton in our last ABC poll had 88 percent of the Democratic vote. ... Having two women on the ticket is a real issue. We have looked at implicit bias and look at the polling where you see that Hillary Clinton is losing on leadership. That's all about being a woman."
