Peterson, a WND columnist and the author of "The Antidote: Healing America from the Poison of Hate, Blame and Victimhood," has been working on the ground in the black community as the founder and president of the civil rights organization BOND.
He's been a fierce critic of the Black Lives Matter movement, which he has termed a "hate group."

Peterson has aggressively challenged the frame of black victimization he says has been promoted by President Barack Obama and the mainstream media. However, he also slammed the "guilt" and "cowardice" of white Americans in his latest column, condemning politicians such as Newt Gingrich for accepting a "lie" of massive anti-black discrimination.
In contrast, Peterson's philosophy, as exemplified by his work with BOND, focuses on "rebuilding the family by rebuilding the man." He urges black Americans to move a narrative of white oppression and emphasizes personal responsibility. Peterson is also a critic of activists such as Jesse Jackson and the Rev. Al Sharpton, accusing them of perpetuating a “scam” on the black community.
