Michael Moore calls for prohibition on weapons – and ‘war’

Michael Moore, the Hollywood film director who’s made a name for himself by producing documentaries that slant left, tweeted out his solution to the Dallas ambush on police that left five law enforcement officers dead and said: Ban both weapons and war.

“We must ban all semi-automatic guns & large-capacity ammo magazines – AND we must stop sending young people to war who come back all messed up,” Moore tweeted.

The reference to war seemed to come from the fact the Dallas shooter who killed five police and injured another seven, Micah Xavier Johnson, was an Army veteran who served overseas.

As Breitbart noted, however: Moore himself owned a gun as recently as 2008. That’s when he said “he was thinking about ‘raffling it off’ because he has so much security he does not need to personally possess a gun,” Breitbart reported.
