(NYPOST) — A Queens teacher once hailed as a selfless educator sexually abused a student after getting her drunk in his apartment, an investigation has found.
Joshua Sipkin, 44, who taught English at Information Technology HS in Long Island City for 12 years, allegedly molested a girl who was in his class and had sex with her after she graduated, the Office of Special Commissioner of Investigation for city schools found.
Sipkin encouraged the girl to visit his apartment, the report said. He served her a mixed drink there on one occasion, and the girl had sex with him on another, telling investigators she later “felt extremely guilty.”
