Why are Republicans so mealy mouthed when attacked by the media? If one of the talking heads asked me about Mrs. Trump's "plagiarism," I'd demand to know if they thought her speech was the most newsworthy thing at the Republican National Convention.
How about the speeches by the Milwaukee sheriff, or the three parents of children killed by illegal aliens, or the parent of the slain Benghazi hero? (I didn't watch CNN, but I heard that cable channel cut away from the convention when the parents began to talk about their slain children.)
Of course, Mrs. Trump's alleged plagiarism (it sounded like it was cribbed, and her speech writers should be fired) was the only negative the mainstreamers could latch onto, but why are the Republicans so slow on offense? Surely they have some people aboard who know how to deal with a hostile media.
