(CNS News) American fighter pilots, strapped by frequent deployments, family separation, and time-consuming training, are leaving the military for jobs in the private sector that pay them just as well or better, Air Force officials told reporters on Wednesday.
"It is a crisis," Air Force Vice Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein said.
"Here's the reason I believe it's a crisis: Air superiority is not an American birthright. It's actually something you have to fight for and maintain."
