During the summer, kids go to camps. And sometimes there are unusual activities and events.

But none is more unusual that what has been reported happening at camps for Palestinian children in the Middle East, according to Palestinian Media Watch.

PMW’s Nan Jacques Zilberdik reported the events from the closing ceremony of a camp run by the Palestinian National Committee of Summer Camps and the Fatah Movement.

“Palestinian children performed a play showing the alleged ‘cruel attitude of the Zionist jailer toward our [Palestinian] heroic prisoners,'” said PMW, quoting the Donia Al-Watan, an independent Palestinian news agency.

“Photos from the play at the summer camp show children apparently playing the role of Palestinian prisoners, kneeling blindfolded and handcuffed in a row on the floor, while other children portraying Israeli prison guards stand aiming guns at them. In one photo, three children are lying on the floor, after having been ‘executed’ by the children playing ‘Zionist jailers,'” the report said.

PMW reported the camp was named “after terrorist Muhammad Al-Shubaki, who stabbed and wounded an Israel soldier at the entrance to the Al-Fawwar refugee camp on Nov. 25, 2015.”

The attacker’s father spoke at the ceremonies.

The play was a rerun of old “PA libel that Israel abuses Palestinian prisoners and kills them in cold blood,” PMW said.

“Other educational activities for Palestinian children have repeated additional libels. Just a few months ago, PMW reported on a high school play showing Israeli soldiers planting knives on innocent Palestinians and then murdering them in cold blood. In an elementary school play, Palestinian children enacted the ‘execution’ of an Israeli soldier,” the report said.

PMW said the website for the National Committee of Summer Camps explains the committee is under the PA Ministry of Youth and Sports, even though that ministry does not exist “in the current PA government.”

The PMW report cited a regional media report of the closing of the camp.

“The events of the martyr (shahid) Muhammad Al-Shubaki [Summer] Camp, organized by the National Committee for Summer Camps and the Lion Cubs and Flowers Institution (i.e., Fatah youth institution for young boys and girls) of the [Fatah] Mobilization and Organization Commission, have concluded.”

The report said the Quran was read and then there was a performance by the Aedoun scout troop.

Earlier this month, WND repoerted a small child was shown in an online video singing a song about ISIS and sawing off the head of a doll.

The video was captured from the Internet by the Middle East Media Research Institute, which also monitors and analyzes media throughout the region.

Waving a long blade, the child, who is covered by Islamic garb for women, sings: “State of Islam, attack and defeat the religion of heresy and the gang of the military. Instill terror, exterminate the leftover remnants (of the army), and slaughter.”

The camera then wavers and shifts as it follows the child’s motions in sawing off the head of the doll, which is held up briefly and then tossed to the floor. A chorus in the background includes the words, “My sword has been sharpened to destroy you.”

The doll’s body and the knife are shown on the floor.

The child declares, “The Islamic State will remain and expand.”

The video was posted online Aug. 4 at an ISIS account and translated from Arabic by MEMRI.

It isn’t clear whether the child is a boy or a girl.

The video:

The Times of Israel pointed out that ISIS had released videos in 2015 of children practicing beheadings on dolls, and last winter a video was released showing a jihadi training camp for children.

Children often have been used by jihadists to promote their cause. Just a week before a video showed a Palestinian father shoving his 4-year-old son toward Israeli border patrol officers, encouraging them to shoot the boy.

See the video:

“Shoot him! Shoot him!” the father shouts, according to reports.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was shaken “to the core of my being” by the video.

“The Palestinian leadership must stop encouraging children to kill. They must stop encouraging Palestinian parents to call for the death of their own children,” he said. “It’s horrendous! Peace begins with respect. If parents don’t respect their own children’s lives, how will they respect the lives of their neighbors?”

“A Palestinian father holds up his 4-year-old son. He pleads with Israeli border police to kill his own child. He shouts, ‘Shoot this little boy!’ His boy. He pushes his young son forward toward the soldiers and screams, ‘Kill him! Shoot him!’ The boy pauses. He is scared. Any child would be,” Netanyahu said.

“He turns back, looking at his father for guidance. With his shirt tightly tucked into his bright red shorts, the boy ambles forward toward the soldiers. One of them extends his hand in friendship. The boy gives him a high-five.

“It’s hard to make a 4-year-old hate.”

A year ago, WND reported on a video story by MEMRI of a toddler standing in the family’s residence being coached by someone off-screen to say, “I want to stab a Jew.”

WND reported when a Palestinian television show featured two interviewees in military fatigues who declare their aspiration in life is to “blow up the Jews.”

They’re about 6 years old.

The boys appear on a children’s show moderated by a girl who is not much older than they are, reported MEMRI.

MEMRI said the show was on Al-Aqsa TV, the official channel of Hamas, the jihadist organization that governs Gaza.

The moderator asks one of the boys, Muhammad, about his poetry.

“Who taught this poem, Muhammad?” the young moderator asks.

His mother, said Muhammad Ali Zakariya Al-Astal.

He then recites:

Oh Jerusalem, I shall redeem you with my soul and my blood.

I shall liberate you from the Jews by means of the Al-Qassam Brigades, of course.

I bring glad tidings to our prisoners: Salvation is near.

Asked what he wants to be when he grows up, Muhammad said he wants to become a member of Al-Qassam Brigades, the so-called military wing of Hamas.

Another interviewee, identified as Zakariya, said he wants to be an engineer “so that I can blow up the Jews.”
