(KTLA) A Chester, South, Carolina mother who allegedly placed her 4-day-old son in a refrigerator, killing the newborn, made her first court appearance this week, according to a report.
Angela Blackwell, 27, was charged with homicide by child abuse on Monday, nearly six months after the infant’s death, WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina, reported.
Blackwell allegedly put the the infant in the refrigerator at home on Feb. 27 and shut the door, according to the television station, which obtained the arrest warrant. The baby was removed after three hours, at which time emergency responders were called to the residence.
