(San Antonio Express-News) Five people were killed and 21 others were injured Tuesday when a van they were travelling in hit a curve and flipped over about 70 miles from the Texas border, according to Mexican media reports.

El Mañana, which operates a newspaper in Reynosa, reported that the driver lost control of the van while moving at a high speed causing it to flip and roll and eject the passengers. The crash occurred around 8:50 p.m. on the Reynosa-Monterrey highway in General Bravo, Mexico, which is about an hour-and-a-half drive from McAllen.
