As the woman tried to escape, she immediately tripped and plunged face first into the ground.

This is far from the first time there has been documentation of Trump signs being stolen.
Just last month, Boston University engineering student Katia Checkwicz videotaped herself stealing the items, and then bragged about it on Twitter.

"Per Twitter request, I am going to be taking two Trump signs off someone's lawn. Stay tuned," Checkwicz says in the video.
The video shows her pulling her car over and snatching the signs:
She displays selfies with the crumpled signs in the backseat of her vehicle and then another showing them at bottom of a garbage bin.

"ICYMI: I ripped out two Trump signs from a random person's lawn while they were home," Checkwicz bragged in a tweet.
The Washington Times reported that the student has publicly promised "reparations" to the family.

A Google News search for "Trump signs stolen" reveals an apparent epidemic, with signs for the Donald being ripped off nationwide.
Boston.com recently ran the headline: "The Trump yard sign-stealing epidemic has gotten seriously out-of-hand in Massachusetts."
A Google News search for Hillary Clinton signs being stolen found only one case in Texas in August, with a deadly claim involving a family pet.
The Houston Chronicle reported: "A Richardson couple believes someone killed their dog after they posted a sign in their front yard supporting Hillary Clinton.
"Matt Steadman told CBSDFW that three separate signs supporting Clinton were stolen from his yard. Steadman told the news station that someone put bleach into the gas tank of the family's SUV and left a note under his doormat that said 'Hillary for Prison 2016.'
"Then on Sunday, Steadman said his 2-year-old Shepard mix named Abby got sick. According to the news station, Abby died on Monday from eating a neurotoxin. Given how he and Beth Steadman were treated leading up to the dog's death, the two think that their pet was purposely killed."
