Christian ‘rock stars’ flunk Discernment 101

By Craige McMillan

The ease with which Democratic Party operatives confuse some Christian “rock star” teachers about the issues before America and the world astounds me.

The latest visionary to see the Angel of Light through rose colored glasses is Beth Moore, who ministers to women through Bible teaching classes in a variety of churches and is a sought-after speaker.

Discernment is something God gives us if we will but ask. The “ask” part is sometimes hard, however. And the answer could be different, depending on how God is dealing with any particular child.

Sometimes, however, the discernment question is already answered for us in God’s one and only book, the Bible.

For instance, God clearly tells us that Satan is his enemy, under judgment and destined for Hell, with no chance for reprieve. God also clearly tells us not to kill, which means to take innocent life. God also hates lying, especially if it is used to destroy the reputation of another, which He deems akin to murder.

Looking at these few, we should be able to discern which candidate would be a more effective leader of the “free world,” as it was once known:

  • Mrs Clinton would force Christians to pay for abortions through their tax dollars. The baby was alive in the womb. It’s dead – or dying while waiting to be dismembered and its body parts sold to research labs – after the abortion.
  • Mr Trump would at least not force Christians to pay for this.
  • The WikiLeaks emails show that Mrs. Clinton is a habitual liar, even when she has no need of lying. It’s that “public-private position,” you know. Investment bankers are told one thing; the rest of us another. Guess which is true?
  • Mr Trump’s “lies” have frequently turned out to be true, to the chagrin of Big Media.
  • Mrs. Clinton’s embrace of globalism, which clearly benefits her pay-to-play friends in the corporate world at the expense of what is still left of the middle class, seems more closely tied to Satan’s agenda to destroy the Christian church than it does Jesus’ agenda to “build my church.”
  • Mr. Trump is clearly opposed to the globalist one-world, we-own-it-all agenda.

Even a modicum of discernment among those who act as teachers in the church would make it nearly impossible to entertain the thought that Mr. Trump’s locker room trash talk with a crude host, however disappointing, is of the same magnitude as Mrs. Clinton’s promised anti-Christian policies as president.

The Father of Lies is blinding many to the truth, because their agenda fits his. That can be expected among those who do not know Jesus. It should be extremely rare, and a cause for repentance among those who do.
