Russ Feingold, a Democrat from Wisconsin who is trying to win back his old seat in the U.S. Senate, has spilled the beans on Hillary Clinton’s strategy to remove guns from the hands of law-abiding Americans.
In an undercover video made by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, Feingold is seen at a $2,700 per-head fundraiser held Aug. 17 at the Palo Alto, California, home of Democratic Party donors Amy Rao and Harry Plant. Palo Alto is 10 minutes away from Stanford University, where Feingold taught after leaving his position as a special envoy at the U.S. State Department, the Washington Free Beacon reports.
Feingold can be heard in the video discussing what Hillary Clinton could do in relation to guns if she were to be elected president.
“If there’s still Republican control in Congress, and if Hillary is elected, is there anything she can do to uhhh … ?” asks the undercover journalist.
“There might be executive orders,” Feingold says.
Nearly 12 hours before releasing this video, O’Keefe’s Twitter account was locked after he announced that he would be releasing a story about a Democrat Senate candidate.
“Twitter has now locked me out unless I delete previous stories/tweets in order to get back in,” O’Keefe said in an email to WND.
“Twitter can suspend my account, but they can NEVER suspend the Veritas.”

Project Veritas then culled through recent Wikileaks dumps for information on Clinton’s gun-control plans and found an email that addresses the topic from Clinton press secretary Brian Fallon. He explicitly mentions “closing loopholes by executive orders.”
Amy Rao, the Hillary donor and host of the Feingold event, then says on hidden camera that “Hillary wants to shut it down.”
“You think she will?” the undercover journalist asks.
“If we can get guns away from everyone in this country, she’ll close the loopholes, get rid of assault weapons, she’ll get rid of being able to buy, you know, unlimited bullets, she’s gonna make all that stop,” says Rao.

In mid-August one of the Project Veritas journalists went undercover into the Feingold office in Madison, Wisconsin. Their cover was somehow blown, and they were asked to leave. They then trumpeted their discovery to liberal media outlets at the Huffington Post, Time magazine and others that “enthusiastically reported the story.”
But on the very same day Veritas infiltrated the fundraiser in Silicon Valley where Feingold himself spilled some information on Hillary’s strategies to restrict the Second Amendment. There, Feingold came under criticism from liberal donors who wanted him to do more than he would agree to on guns. He committed to fighting for universal background checks on all gun transfers including those at gun shows and sales over the Internet.
They appeared disappointed that he wouldn’t support handgun bans.
“You’re never going to get guns totally out of their hands. It’s the Second Amendment, right?” said Rao. “But you can get sensible gun laws passed, and Obama didn’t do it. If anyone can do it, she’ll do it.”
She said President Obama failed to deliver, but Hillary would.
“He did some executive orders with the aspects of waiting periods. But what we all need is to win the Senate, have her there, and then put pressure on the House. And we might win the House,” she said.
Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America, said Democrats can’t seem to respect the fact that the majority of Americans don’t want more gun control. If they did, Congress would have passed the laws years ago.
“The Democrats cannot help themselves,” he said. “They feel compelled to talk about their support for gun control. Since 1994, it has cost them on Election Day. Let us hope that ex-Sen. Feingold is no exception.”
Jerry Henry, executive director of GeorgiaCarry.org, told WND he was not surprised by the video.
“This should not come as a surprise to anyone. She has said all along that she plans on destroying the Second Amendment by any means possible, including appointing gun-control judges to the Supreme Court and and appeals courts that come available,” he said.
“If that doesn’t work, she will do it with executive orders and won’t care what laws she breaks or disregards as the past few months have shown,” he added.
Alan Gottlieb, executive vice president of the Second Amendment Foundation, was equally unsurprised by the revelations.
“It’s no surprise that Feingold made that statement. Hillary Clinton herself has told gun prohibition group leaders that she would use executive orders and actions to attack Second Amendment rights,” Gottlieb told WND in an email. “The only surprise is that he got caught on tape saying it.”
Henry said Hillary seems to operate above the law.
“Who will bring her to justice if she is elected? No one!” he said “And if Trump is elected, Obama will do his best to give her amnesty for any of her past crimes.”
