The turmoil inside the halls of Fox News spilled out into the public arena once again late Wednesday when Sean Hannity accused his colleague Megyn Kelly of bias toward Hillary Clinton, tweeting during his show, “Clearly you support her.”
Hannity’s comment came shortly after Kelly, during a segment on her show “The Kelly File,” accused both presidential candidates of restricting media appearances in recent weeks to avoid tough interviews.

“They’re both in their own version of a presidential protection program,” Kelly said.
Kelly chided Clinton for doing interviews with entertainment shows, saying “she is not in a place where she feels uncomfortable or anything unexpected could come at her, which is why she sat for a half an hour with Mary J. Blige, the singer, which is why she did ‘Entertainment Tonight’ this evening.”
Kelly specifically mentioned a Clinton appearance on “The Steve Harvey Show” that was partly scripted by the daytime talk show’s producers, according to the Washington Free Beacon.
Kelly then took a shot at Trump, saying he has retreated to his safe space with the conservative commentator Hannity.
“And Donald Trump, with all due respect to my friend at 10 o’clock, will go on Hannity, and pretty much only Hannity, and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days, which doesn’t exactly extend the tent.”
Hannity responded by dropping a bomb on Twitter during his own show about an hour after her remarks.
“@megynkelly u should be mad at @HillaryClinton,” Hannity tweeted. “Clearly you support her. And @realdonaldtrump did talk to u.”
Later, Hannity answered a Twitter user who told him to “stand by your colleagues” by saying, “Sure. When they stand by me.”
Hannity had the first televised conversation with Trump after the first presidential debate last week. Kelly introduced Hannity’s interview with the GOP nominee by saying, ”We’ve got Trump speaking to our own Sean Hannity. We’ll see whether he speaks to the journalists in this room after that interview.”
On Wednesday night, Hannity interviewed Trump’s running mate Mike Pence.
Kelly’s contract with Fox is due to expire in mid-2017. Hannity’s contract extends through 2020, reported CNN.
