(New York Daily News) The Ohio bridal shop where a Texas nurse shopped while she unknowingly had Ebola is suing the hospital that cleared her for traveling, claiming it was so badly stigmatized that it was eventually forced to close.
Coming Attractions Bridal and Formal — which shuttered three months after nurse Amber Joy Vinson’s October 2014 shopping trip — alleges Texas Health Presbyterian of Dallas was negligent in letting its staffers who came in contact with the deadly virus have free contact with others, the Dallas Morning News reported.
Vinson contracted the disease while caring for Thomas Eric Duncan, the United States’ first Ebola patient who died at the Dallas hospital on Oct. 8.
