(THE HILL) — The chairman of the Wisconsin Republican Party released a statement Monday night defending House Speaker Paul Ryan and the work he’s done for his home state.
Ryan has distanced himself from GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, drawing harsh criticism from Trump and his supporters.
Ahead of a Monday evening rally in Green Bay, Trump took to Twitter to attack Ryan for “always fighting the Republican nominee!” He also said Ryan “doesn’t know how to win.”
