(TELEGRAPH) — A 26-year-old woman was so intimidated by her Tinder date that she plunged to her death from his balcony when she tried to escape from his apartment, an Australian court has heard.
Gable Tostee, who is accused of killing the woman during a date arranged via Tinder, was recorded threatening to “chuck her” from his 14th-floor balcony shortly before she fell to her death.
A court in Australia heard that Tostee threatened and strangled Warriena Wright, a New Zealand tourist, after they met for the first time and went back to his apartment. Ms Wright allegedly fled to the balcony in fear and was attempting to escape by climbing down when she fell.
