'Subversives' confronting President-elect Trump

During their first meeting at the White House, Donald Trump and Barack Obama discussed reconciliation while protesters raged against Trump on the streets.

In Chicago, a white Trump supporter was brutally beaten by a black mob screaming insults against Trump. Massive protests took place in cities across America, with some demonstrators openly calling for violence. And there is already a concerted effort to deny the legitimacy of Trump’s election, with "Not My President" serving as a popular slogan for left-wing groups around the country.

It's a battle many conservatives saw coming. Among them is Michael Savage, the talk-radio titan who heralded Trump's rise with his signature slogan of "borders, language, culture."

And in his blockbuster new book, "Scorched Earth: Restoring The Country After Obama," Savage calls for nothing less than the restoration of the House Un-American Activities Committee.

"I know what's going to happen: the left will go insane," he writes. 'They'll say, 'You're violating our civil rights.' They'll say, 'You do not have probable cause to bring people in to investigate them.' They might be right. But we need to do exactly that for our survival."

At the top of the list of groups to be investigated, Savage says, is the American Civil Liberties Union, the ACLU, which Savage calls "the number one public enemy, the head of the serpent."

"It must be broken apart," he declares. "Tell me how a society that is open like ours, that is democratic like ours, can survive when enemies of freedom, enemies of democracy are destroying society by using the very freedoms that we have in place because of the Constitution? What would you do? That is the conundrum we are facing. ... This crusade is going to lead us down roads we may not be comfortable going down, but we must go there."

The ACLU is promising to do all it can to disrupt the new president-elect's agenda.

"If Donald Trump implements his proposed policies, we'll see him in court," writes Anthony Romero, the ACLU executive director.

Romero pledged to prevent Trump from deporting "11 million undocumented immigrants, ban the entry of Muslims into our country and aggressively surveil them; punish women for accessing abortion; reauthorize waterboarding and other forms of torture; and change our nation's libel laws and restrict freedom of expression."

Besides the ACLU, Savage also identified the Southern Poverty Law Center as a grave threat to the country. SPLC, a far-left group that has repeatedly smeared Christians as "extremists" and was linked in a federal courtroom to a terrorist attack, is already on the offensive against President-elect Trump.

"Today, we're facing a new reality – a president-elect who has denigrated people because of their race, their religion, their ethnicity, their gender, and more," said SPLC President Richard Cohen in a post on the organization's website.

However, the group boasted it was providing "resources to the nation's teachers to help them begin to heal the scars that the campaign has left on their students."

"In the past, the SPLC was even called upon by the Obama Justice Department to advise law enforcement on "violent extremism," language some conservatives believe was chosen to allow Christians to be targeted.

Finally, Savage called for an investigation of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. CAIR has been linked to the extreme Muslim Brotherhood, but that has not stopped the Obama administration from inviting its officials to meetings at the White House.

There is also one key individual Savage argues is subverting America, the "mastermind of world disorder, the money changer George Soros and his so-called Open Society Foundations."

Funding from Soros and his various foundations was instrumental in launching the Black Lives Matter movement, which has sponsored demonstrations that have occasionally veered into anti-police rhetoric and outright violence.

Savage admits his proposal to renew HUAC is explosive. But he argues there is no other way to stop the organizations that are trying to prevent the will of the voters from being implemented.

"If being subversive means going against the wishes of the taxpayers, what do the taxpayers want?" he asks in "Scorched Earth." "Does the average taxpayer want more immigrants or fewer immigrants? You know the answer. Most want no immigrants. You have groups that are working around the clock to bring in floods upon floods of immigrants, a virtual tsunami, an indigestible amount, or number, of refugees, immigrants, whatever you want to call them, especially from third-world nations that hate us. These low, unscrupulous organizations are bringing in people who will never, ever integrate into the society, who will spend their every waking minute hating the society, many of whom will go off like rockets. Those rockets would be at the top of my list."

And Savage says only Trump has the courage and the commitment to truly confront the left in a fundamental way.

Writing before the election was decided, Savage said: "All I do know now is that none of the other candidates is capable of going after these organizations. That, my friends, is why Trump is so hatred by the far left and why the media keep smearing him. They know the people around Trump will after them for what they have done to this country. They know their funding will but cut off and, worse yet, that some of them may be actually be indicted for crimes against laws on the books right now. ...

"When Trump wins in a landslide and the new government takes power in 2017, we're going to be faced with a huge problem, which is all of the boll weevils that Obama has planted like poison pills throughout the federal government. Then, of course, we have the organizations that we know are subversive."

If such groups and individuals are not stopped, Savage warns, the future of the country will resemble the Iraqi city of Fallujah or Somalia.
