Famed scientist Stephen Hawking and others recently launched the Breakthrough Listen project, funded with a $100 million grant from Russian billionaire Yuri Milner, to scan the universe for signs of intelligence life via radio signals.

However, Hawking has warned that contact with another “advanced civilization” may not be the wisest course of action, since, according to ScienceAlert, “an alien civilization, especially one that can pick up our signals and understand where they’re coming from, has the potential to be billions of years more advanced than us, making us an easy target to overthrow or invade.”

But what if that contact already has been made? Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin recalls that in 1952, for example, according to Central Intelligence Agency files, a fighter pilot chase “two fiery disks” over what then was the Belgian Congo.

The declassified document states a Commander Pierre described two flying discs as having “a diameter of from 12 to 15 meters.”

“The inner core remained absolutely still, and a knob coming out from the center and several small openings could plainly be seen,” he said. “The outer rim was completely veiled in fire and must have had an enormous speed of rotation. The color of the metal was similar to that of aluminum.”

The account from the CIA files said the discs had unheard-of capabilities, such as changing altitude by 2,000 or 3,000 feet in seconds, and traveling, accompanied by a loud whistling that overcame the sound of Pierre’s own jet, at an estimated 1,500 kilometers per hour.

The report is just one of many previously declassified by the CIA.

The CIA promotes its FOIA UFO collection of documents and search functions that allow people to see what for many years was held under lock and key by the U.S. government.

“You will find … documents we think X-Files character Agent Fox Mulder would love to use to try and persuade others of the existence of extraterrestrial activity,” the agency blogged.

For example, there also is the 1952 eyewitness report from Oscar Linke, a 48-year-old former mayor of a small German town who had escaped from the Soviet Zone.

He submitted a sworn statement that near the town of Hasselbach, while he was dealing with a flat tire on his motorcycle, he saw “two men who were now about 40 meters away from me.”

“They seemed to be dressed in some shiny metallic clothing. They were stooping over and were looking at something lying on the ground.”
